I don't have any problem with what Cheney said.
I'm sick and tired of our side thinking they're gonna get credit for genteel behavior.
The Obama administration walks & quacks like a duck. Its probably a damn duck.

Well there are lawyers that respect their profession and there are those that don’t.

From what I’ve seen so far of Obambi, Holder, Axelrod, Gibbs, the “czars” and the rest of the traitors who have seized the White House, it wouldn’t surprise me to learn DoJ has Bin Laden working in the basement.

It's also being condemned by a growing number of former George W. Bush administration lawyers. Ted Olson....A "growing number" and they mention one single lawyer? And Ted Olson has become, I am sorry to say, quite erratic recently.

They should just banish everyone named “Bush” into the scrap heap of the Democrat Party. The whole blasted family are just Political Hacks. They “believe” in government, to the extent they run it; they think Democrats can be dealt with sanely; and they are in NO way Conservative. Screw ‘em

Liz Cheney is great. The Marxists ALWAYS hate the truth, and they will always go after those prophets who dare to speak the truth. As they always have.
And?? Molon labe indeed.

NewsWEAK, the Al Quaeda magazine, running interference for the Eric Holder Department of Jihad. So what's new?
To: tobyhill
So the lawyers who sprung Bin Ladin’s bodyguard and worked to overthrow the military tribunals are now inside Justice working to prosecute CIA, shut down Guantanamo, throw out military tribunals, and supposedly are to be trusted with classified data as they “prosecute” more Al Qaeda.
But if you complain, you are intolerant.
Why, yes, I believe on this score they are right. The situation is intolerable. I don’t think I should have to tolerate it.

"consistent with the finest traditions of the legal profession," Yeah; as always, where there's deep pockets (oil money), you'll find the lawyers.
Same as phoney-up Class Actions and Ambulance-chaser "malpractice" lotto-like handouts.

Hah, most of the "Bush lawyers" were Clinton left-overs at Justice. Rush warned about them that they were snakes just waiting to pounce on anything and blow the issue out of proportion, even creating false stores through "leaks" from DOJ.
Olsen, I truly don't understand considering his wife, Barbara, was blown out of the sky by terrorists.
What kind of defense does he think that the mastermind of that fateful day deserves - civilian or military and who does he believe should be in the position to make those calls - people who've spent their careers defending American values or terrorists' values?

I do not have any problem with lawyers representing al Quaeda and their ilk before our courts or military tribunals. It is a tough job, but someone has to do it. Under our Constitution, the accused are entitled to legal representation.
But Liz Cheney is right on this issue. These same lawyers should not now be representing the United States in matters that could harm or even help their former clients. In fact, these lawyers are rquired to avoid even the appearance of impropriety. This one does not pass the smell test for me.

Ted Olson, who served as Bush's solicitor general, says he has the "greatest respect" for lawyers who represented Gitmo clients; they were acting "consistent with the finest traditions of the legal profession," he says. He calls the attacks on one of the targets, Deputy Solicitor General Neal Katyal, "outrageous." Four years ago, Katyal represented Salim Ahmed Hamdan, Osama bin Laden's former driver, in a landmark Supreme Court case that overturned the military tribunals that Bush created. (Katyal did a "marvelous job" on the case, says Olson.)Total BS. How come Jihadist filth get the best US corporate lawyers defending them pro bono? They should get shitty lawyers just like other indigent schmucks. I had to hire a lawyer once and he was awful. How Jihadists are entitled to really good lawyers? And contrary to Ted Olsen I don't look at the legal profession as being particularly honorable
The answer is that the lawyers who defend Jihadists are looking for notoriety, recognition and bragging rights at liberal cocktail parties
