The violence in three mostly Christian villages on Sunday appeared to be reprisal attacks following the January unrest in Jos — when some 300 people, most of them Muslims, were killed, Red Cross spokesman Robin Waubo said.

The link in the MSNBC article to the previous incident does not support the Red Cross spokesman's contention that 300 mostly muslim people were killed.

The linked article says 200 died in fighting between the Christians and muslims that started when the muslims burned down a church.

Yeah, I figured the Red Cross spokesperson’s rendering of the situation wasn’t quite accurate. Sure it was a Red Crescent spokesperson?
