Yes, redgirlinabluestate, that’s what I was pointing out. Thank-you for the history. What some were questioning here, was IF the abortion coverage was mandated prior to Romney, would he have known about it when implementing this Massachussetts bill?

Yes, but given the fact it was required by law and provided since 1981 in Massachusetts (and I don't know how long in the other 16 states mentioned), abortion assistance was given to low-income women with or without this reform bill. It is a red herring. It simply made no difference. I know we are all for Federalism, but not when the blue states makes their own laws we don't agree with, I guess.

It is also interesting that this same abortion assistance is provided in several other states with GOP governors, but they are given a free pass, while Romney is not. Only Romney is expected to break long-standing laws and go against his constituency it seems.
