Don’t believe it. There is enough oil in shale and in sands than we’ll ever need. Colorado and Utah are also developing new techniques to get the oil out as cheaply as possible, while high oil prices are making that economically feasible. It’s that pesky free market thing.

But what happens to the oil shale projects if Obama declares those lands federal wilderness property or national parks or some such? That would end that little bit of hope wouldn’t it?
