Real ID is already supposed to go into effect next year. Big brother is in our face whether we want him there or not.

From what I've heard, they've already built the Death Care info computers in SC.
Both (R) and (D) have got to be in on all this, otherwise, why would they have all this set up already, way before the first debate even starts?
Maybe this is why the Republicans never do away with anything the left creates. They just accept it and move on. If Death Care passes, who believes the Republicans will cancel it? They've never canceled anything else.

Agreed. And our own anti-illegal immigrant voices made it possible.

Many freepers called for a big government response to illegal immigration. A national/universal work permit issued by big brother is the only way to make that possible. It was precisely the call from the right for big government that gives cover to the left to implement it.

The irony is that Napolitano’s list of “haters”, which includes many anti-illegals, will be applied to the work permits long before the work permits impact illegals. Was a Jewish architect used to design Auschwitz?

The truth is that prior to the 1920s there was no such thing as an “illegal immigrant” as we know that term today. The same movement that brought us Smoot-Hawley brought us “illegal immigration” with the clear intent to have big government limit the movement of both products and people accross our borders.

That big government movement just continues to grow ... and occasioually uses people on the right as useful idiots.

This is another bait and switch. They CLAIM they are going to set up some kind of fool-proof ID system to prevent illegals from getting jobs.

You are so right. They've been setting up foolproof systems that have failed since 1988, when the first worker id law was passed. Why would this one be any different?

I’m not so sure people have even picked up on it but it needs to be brought out as I find the term offensive and demeaning. It is a negative term. We/they are employees not workers.

Oh I recognized it for sure. That’s why I commented on it. It needs to have more attention brought to it. It is a negative term and I find it offensive.

I am all for whatever it takes to get the illegals the hell out of here! Whether it is putting bar codes on social security cards or giving out worker ID cards with a bar code, go for it! I am one of the thousands of unemployed and I am sick and tired of all the illegals putting a strain on our country! Got it?
