In order for an impeachment to work you need the American willing to allow it. This is why Clinton was not impeached out of office. For whatever reason, the majority of Americans were not mad at Clinton and were willing to forgive his transgressions.

In the interest of being factual, Clinton was indeed impeached by the House of Representatives by a majority of votes. However he was not removed from office by the Senate. This is important because Dems like to blur the two by implying since he wasn't removed, he wasn't impeached.

You are of course correct. He was impeached but not convicted.
