So, what do Student Loans have to do with Healthcare?

I suppose we should add a chicken in every pot, a car in every driveway and a 96” HDTV for every family too?

This is a carrot for the left who are currently voting against the bill because it has no public option. Watch and see if Kucinich takes the carrot. It results from Zero meeting with the Congressional Black Caucus yesterday.

BEWARE!! These freaks will do ANYTHING!!

“revamp of the student loan program” = a government socialist takeover, not unlike Hugo Chavez

We don't need a revamp of the student loan program. Anybody can get a loan (who is a citizen)...you wait a few years to start a family..you pay it off and now you have it just as good as any other person.

It's not that difficult and it creates responsibility and a sense of self reliance....but noooo we can't have that, now can we.

They are putting any form of lipstick on that pig trying to get it passed, knowing the extra stuff (the actual reconciliation bill) has no chance of ever passing. They simply want the (mostly blank) Senate bill passed so they can say X was already in it.

I just don’t get it. How can they make ANY changes? I thought they have to vote on the senate bill in the house and then vote (or skip) on the reconciliation package of spending changes. What are they doing????

Since the House has changed the Senate bill it will GO BACK to the United States Senate where the Republicans will fillibuster it to death.

The Republicans need to cover their backsides and get the House Parliamentarian to rule that adding the Student Loan provisions changes the bill and that it must be sent back to the United States Senate for another vote.

This is a smart move on San Fran Nan’s part.

She and the Democrats in the House can pin the demise of Obamacare on those obstructionists of the Party of No: The Senate Republicans.

She gets a ‘twofer’ here: Blame the United States Senate and blame the Republican party for killing Obamacare.

Far better to make this play the endgame then to have the Senate Bill die in San Fran Nan’s House. This, of course, assumes that she can get 216 votes and the latest whip count shows she only has 189 ‘Yes’ votes and is bleeding support every day.

It’s dead Jim.

Doesn’t matter, they have to pass the SENATE version first, then it will be HAND carried to the WH for obambi to sign into law. Keep those phones ringing, even if your rep is a republican call them and tell them in no uncertain terms HELL NO to any health care bill.

Code Red” - House Target List on Health Care

The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obama’s announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the “fixer” bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.
