Defeat Obamacare call list: List now contains the new MAYBES culled from FR posts.

PLEASE CALL! DC OFFICE LOCAL OFFICE State District

Code Red” - House Target List on Health Care

The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obama’s announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the “fixer” bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.

And even if they don’t have the votes, it’s been made clear to us that they won’t insert our language on the abortion issue.

I don't think the abortion change Stupak wants would be allowed in the senate, because it would not be a budget item. I hope Stupak and gang realize that and reject the senate bill.

There was a time in my life when I would have found this shocking.

Ain't that the ever-lovin truth.

I know it’s beside the point, but nearly everything he’s quoted as saying here is a cliche.

Very telling.

I guess the rats are planning to do all they can to drive unemployment up. If they weren’t planning that, they’d welcome new taxpayers to pay the freight for their programs. But if they’re all going to be on welfare, well, I can see why they support abortion.

I’ll be praying for Bart to hang tough and stay right with his conscience.

Excerpt:

According to Stupak, that group of twelve pro-life House Democrats — the “Stupak dozen” — has privately agreed for months to vote ‘no’ on the Senate’s health-care bill if federal funding for abortion is included in the final legislative language. Now, in the debate’s final hours, Stupak says the other eleven are coming under “enormous” political pressure from both the White House and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.). “I am a definite ‘no’ vote,” he says. “I didn’t cave. The others are having both of their arms twisted, and we’re all getting pounded by our traditional Democratic supporters, like unions.”

Stupak says he also doesn’t trust the “Slaughter solution,” a legislative maneuver being bandied about on Capitol Hill as a way to pass the Senate bill in the House without actually voting on it. “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me,” he says. “I don’t have a warm-and-fuzzy feeling about what I’m hearing.”

Stupak notes that his negotiations with House Democratic leaders in recent days have been revealing. “I really believe that the Democratic leadership is simply unwilling to change its stance,” he says. “Their position says that women, especially those without means available, should have their abortions covered.” The arguments they have made to him in recent deliberations, he adds, “are a pretty sad commentary on the state of the Democratic party.”

What are Democratic leaders saying? “If you pass the Stupak amendment, more children will be born, and therefore it will cost us millions more. That’s one of the arguments I’ve been hearing,” Stupak says. “Money is their hang-up. Is this how we now value life in America? If money is the issue — come on, we can find room in the budget. This is life we’re talking about.”

Socialists could compensate for the increased cost by ending their own lives.

FROM THE ARTICLE: “And the politics of the issue are pretty rough. “This has really reached an unhealthy stage,” Stupak says. “People are threatening ethics complaints on me.”

Oh my, ethics complaints against him? Kind of like Massa?? Now I wonder when Ralm will poke his finger in Stupak’s chest and tell him he better be a good boy??

Wow! That is one of the most significant interviews I have ever read.

The Democrat party is now committed to abortion, the more the merrier...because of money???!!!

Can there be any doubt that this healthcare proposal is not only a power grab, but a manifestation of absolute evil?

May God bless and keep Mr. Stupak -- who is that rarest of creatures, an honest Democrat.

Well, with that thought process on abortion how far of a leap would it be for these people to rationalize forced abortion to balance to HC budget or the entire national budget in future years?

Or euthanasia...???

Just imagine what we've learned here. These Democrats thirst for the power of life -- and death -- over their subjects.

It is utterly appalling...

Here are toll-free numbers folks can use. At the first number you must wait through a tape recording urging you to tell your Rep or Senator to vote “yes” for the health care bill. Just hang on and when the recording is over, you will get the Capitol operator. Just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Then you will either talk to an aid or have the chance to leave a message for him/her to vote NO on the health care bill.

When you use the second number and the Capitol operator comes on, just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Every time I use this number I get the Rep or Senator’s answer machine, so it may just be set that way all the time...I don’t know. Either way you can leave a message to vote NO on the health care bill!

We need to use these toll free numbers that have been set up for the health care/ BO supporters and illegals to use! After all they are free!

No, it’s some “right-to-life DEMOCRATS” don’t want to be bothered. I’ll believe in such a thing when I see it-—all the way through. It’s like a moderate jihadist.

I find it repugnant in the extreme that any so-called representative of the American people would suggest that abortion be used as a means of containing the cost of healthcare.

What will they be suggesting next, forced abortions and sterilizations?

I know... stunning, isn't it?

As far as I know it's an actual quote... Bart Stupak can be pretty blunt in these interviews, from what I've seen/heard. The way our country has been going (downhill) the past year, nothing surprises me anymore... :-(

check out Hugh Hewitt website. He has a email system to send letters to Blue Dogs.

He also has a link to the Tim Burns, the Republican trying to take Murtha’s old seat.

Send him a contribution to send a message to the Democrats.
