CBO Director Douglas Elmendorf told House Appropriations Legislative subcommittee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) that his staff has been working 100-hour weeks and cannot keep up with the budgetary and economic impact queries lawmakers have about health care.

Since Obama called CBO to the Whitehouse Woodshed, followed quickly by revision of CBO numbers for the senate bill, I don’t have any faith in their numbers. They appear to say what they are told to say since then.

There is a reason that a Congressional Quarterly report saying the CBO scored the new bill at over a trillion. This was last night but by morning the Quartely report was gone.
