There Will Be Blood(Every now and then a Liberal will slip up and tell the cold-blooded truth)

On March 15, Robert Reich wrote in The Huffington Post, "Health care reform is necessary, and House Democrats should vote for it because it's best for the nation." He then went on to justify his assertion purely in terms of positive outcomes for Democrats, not for the people who will be required to live with the actual "reform".

Of course as we all know by now, the true intent of this bill is not to improve the quality of care or to make the current level of care cheaper. It is in fact a purposeful effort by Democrats to do the exact opposite in order to ultimately gain control over the citizenry.

"Aw, that's a bunch of neocon conspiracy crap", some of the more progressively-enabled may say. Listen to what Robert Reich had to say about progressive healthcare reform back on September 26, 2007:

This is what the truth is...If you are very old, we're not going to give you all of that technology and all of those drugs...to keep you alive. It's too expensive, so we're going to let you die...(We're) going to use the bargaining leverage of the federal government...to force drug companies and insurance companies and medical suppliers to reduce their costs. That means less innovation, and that means less new products and less new drugs on the market, which means you are probably not going to live that much longer than your parents.

The difference between a society existing in a state of liberty or in what, throughout most of history, appears to be its default mode is persuasion of the individual judgment by knowledge and example (accomplished in the context of limited proscriptive law) vs. coercion of individual will by force or by its threatened use (from “Your money or your life”--the Highwayman to “The American people are going to get a health care bill whether they want one or not”--Senator Rockefeller).

In the broadest terms, is the end to be a state of knowledge in which the individual is able to understand the possible consequences of his behavior and is then free to choose according to his own desires and goals, the general state of society then an amalgam of informed individual choices? Or is the end to be a state of being in which the individual’s choices are limited by others to a range calculated by them most likely to result in that state of being, the general state of society then an expression of coerced individual actions?

The state of being they're hoping for is whatever maximizes the scope of their power and the degree of its permanence.

Obama spent last week campaigning for health care reform, at one point getting some college-age fans worked up about all the free stuff — “free” preventive care and “free” checkups and so forth — they would receive if his version of health care reform passed.

TRI CARE FOR LIFE This from a google search:

http://economicspolitics.blogspot.com/2009/05/tricare-for-life-is-obama-trying-to.html

This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollee’s cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.) http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/99xx/doc9925/12-18-HealthOptions.pdf

The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obama’s announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the “fixer” bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.

And here are toll-free numbers we can use to call any Senators or Reps.

At the first number below you must wait through a tape recording urging you to tell your Rep or Senator to vote “yes” for the health care bill. Just hang on and when the recording is over, you will get the Capitol operator. Just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Then you will either talk to an aid or have the chance to leave a message for him/her to vote NO on the health care bill.

When you use the second number and the Capitol operator comes on, just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Every time I use this number I get the Rep or Senator’s answer machine, so it may be set up that way all the time...to go to their answer machine. Either way you can leave a message to vote NO on the health care bill!

We need to use these toll free numbers that have been set up for the health care/ BO supporters and illegals to use! After all they are FREE!

Obama Makes Final Push For Health Care Plan
posted 11:41 pm Thu March 18, 2010 - FAIRFAX, Va.
from NewsChannel 8 - http://www.news8.net/news/stories/0310/717521.html

The fight for health care reform is taking a toll on President Obama’s itinerary. For a second time, the President has delayed a foreign trip to be on hand to sign the bill on Sunday. By then, Democrats think they will have finally closed the deal.

“The president believes right now the place for him to be is in Washington seeing this through,” said White House Spokesperson Robert Gibbs.

One appearance still on schedule is his visit to George Mason University Friday. It will be a final local push to gain support for his massive health care legislation.

Thursday night, supporters were busy making phone calls and signs.

“Fortunately, this bill has tax credits in it... It will help small business owners like myself,” said Pat Worth, a health care reform supporter.

Thursday, the President got some good news from the nonpartisan congressional budget office.

He shared, “The reform we seek would bring 1.3 trillion in deficit reduction over the next two decades.”

The CBO says the bill will cost $940 billion over the next 10 years, extends Medicare’s solvency and expands coverage to 32 million Americans. Democratic leaders hope that will help in a battle with Republicans to lure fence-sitters to their side.

“There is no limit to what the other side will do to protect the insurance companies,” said Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

About two dozen democrats remain undecided.

Rep. Baron Hill said, “I need to see the final version. Cross the T’s and dot the I’s.”

Meanwhile, Republicans are marching in lockstep opposition to the bill .

“I have three simple questions, Ms Pelosi. Are you so arrogant? Are you so ignorant? And are you so incompetent that you are going to ignore the Constitution of the United States?” said Rep. Phil Broun.

Thomas Rackowski is one Virginian not planning on attending Friday’s rally.

Rackowski said, “I don’t really think it’s going to solve any issues...It’s going to raise taxes.”

The rally will start at 11:30 p.m. at the Patriot Center.
