No doubt this happened, and it is horrible.

Here’s the underlying pattern, though, as pioneered by Alinksy. Always use your enemy’s values against them. Conservative institutions like the Catholic church and the Boy Scouts are competing with the left for the minds and hearts of the young. Therefore, move against them by making the crimes of a few seem like the norm of the institution. Both the Catholics and the Boy Scouts have a core value called “integrity,” and once a crime has been exposed in the organization, they’ll generally face up to it - and then it’ll be used against them. Any hestitation will be called a “cover-up.” It’s a brilliant strategy, in an evil way.

I’m already running into people who believe that every priest buggers children. The same pattern will happen with the Boy Scouts - although, amusingly enough, the Boy Scouts were smeared more than two decades ago as being homophobic for NOT allowing gay scout leaders into their organization. Now they’re going to be smeared for ALLOWING those same gay scout leaders who are out trolling for teenage boys.

I would bet that there is also a pattern of sexual abuse in the Girl Scouts, too. However, the Girl Scouts now have an established pedigree of leftist, feminist teachings, and they’ll be left alone. There will be no investigation of lesbian-girl affairs.

I would also bet there’s a pattern of sexual abuse on all those communes established in the 1960s, too - after all, free love was mentioned often, and child sex abuse includes adult-teen sex. Again, they’re leftists. No investigation.

My prediction - next victim, the Latter-Day Saints. You know, strange conservatives with bizarre beliefs. And they’ll own up to it, too, and it’ll be used against them.

Some even point to celibacy as the reason (which makes no sense, why would a homosexual pedophile be less inclined if they could marry a woman?).

The attack is going on all fronts, and the reasons are obvious.

Gays have a huge amount to gain by tearing down any institution which opposes their agenda. Despite incidents, both the Catholic Church and the Boy Scouts have been institutions which have no real place for homosexuality.

Add in the opposition to Federal 'health care' (a big winner for AIDS' highest risk group) on the basis of abortion, and the refusal to even consider "gay marriage" and the Catholic Church becomes a two-fer for attack.

All this while other churches ordain openly gay bishops and mumble about 'gay marriage'.

Anyone who cannot see the ultimate source of the attack isn't looking.

Except in this case it wasn't simply the "crimes" that is on trial; both the Boy Scouts and the Lds church is being sued by a victim. It was the cover-up of these crimes by the Lds church that is why the Lds church is being sued.

The Lds bishop did not turn over to law enforcement officials the 17-name victim list once he began his own investigation & secured that list from the perp.

I was listening Tuesday night to a radio report in which a Catholic was being interviewed about recent allegations of child abuse by a Roman Catholic vicar and another employee in Germany from the 1960s. The man interviewed said in these types of cases, there's always two stories: The alleged crimes themselves and then the question of a cover-up.

Your simplistic Alinsky boogie man approach doesn't even pretend to address the cover-up dimension involved in these kinds of cases.
