On Detroit:

It's only the bad ones you hear about.
BTW,good Indian casino in Petoskey, turned $20 into #500.....

Happy for you there. Ontario Health Insurance Plan refers some lucky Canadians to the Burns Clinic there. Wife went and was treated like royalty and this for a consultation. Saw the Hemmingway room at the local museum. Anyway off topic I know but.....three times on Canadian public radio they played an interview with a gentleman from California. He thinks the huge spaces created in Detroit might be turned into farming and using hot houses. An idea that might be one who's time has come.

In case anyone puts the idea down, old maps of London, England show huge "market gardens" right within that city. Then came easy transport and it was over.

Back many years ago my Dad had a roomate from Windsor, heart trouble, paid for it him self.

For the Detroit farming, I don’t know if I would trust the soil, lead.

However I took my Dad shopping one day, had to take a side street, saw a X-Mas tree he help a friend plant 50 years ago. Almost the only thing left on that block.

Turn what’s empty into a giant tree farm.
