"Look how long CFR took to be only partially struck down!'

CFR? Code of Federal Regulation?

It normally takes cases years to work their way through the federal judiciary. Look at the challenges that came from Heller and Citizens United, just recently. They each started about 8 years before they reached the Supremes.

Having said that, this is going to be a little different as a number of states have already said - and some have passed legislation demanding - that they'll file suit. Those lawsuits will be heard in Circuit Court, not District Court. We could see cert granted before the end of the year, certainly before 2012.

Where you been, ODH? Campaign Finance Reform has worn that CFR acronym for many years around here, which is not to say, I also don't it confusing.

We'll have to see just how many Constitutional or Congressional rules "get bent" by the time 0bambi signs this Republic-, jobs- and wealth-destroying travesty, but don't count out SCOTUS for a Florida Supreme-like smackdown, as nefarious items of similar moment may well be employed before the ink gets drawn.

Wer weiß?
