One Thing That's 100% Guaranteed: The Healthcare Bill Will NEVER Be Repealed

Already Republicans plan on introducing a bill this week to repeal last night's historic healthcare vote.

Obviously that's going nowhere.

But looking out, Republicans will probably try to run on repeal in the runup until November. It's possible that will play okay at the ballot (we don't know) but anyone who thinks this is a realistic prospect is smoking something illegal.

First of all, to repeal the vote would be just as difficult legislatively as passing healthcare was, so just think of how hard that was. Republicans would need 60 pro-repeal votes in the Senate to defeat a Democratic filibuster. And remember, they'd need a President who wouldn't veto the bill (i.e. not Obama or any Democrat).

But even that's putting too fine a point on it. Here's the real story, and it gets down to the fact that this new bureaucratic superstructure is now permanently ossified into our federal government.

“Problem is, I can’t think of a better country to move to.”

"No the states will nullify it or a court will."

If the courts can not do it the states can and must. That is how prohibition was repealed, but it takes a long time.

I think the next “issue” will be cap and trade, which gives the government total control over our food supply and our transportation and manufacturing, among other things.

They’ve shown that they don’t really need the legal votes of illegal aliens, and in any case, some of the latter might turn out not to be entirely in favor of the Dems once they were legalized. There are large numbers of Hispanics who have fled socialist countries (although most of them are legal immigrants) and also the hundreds of thousands of Asians who have paid big bucks to be smuggled into this country to escape Communism. I think the Dems actually benefit from the fluid and untraceable votes of illegals, who seem to have no problem whatsoever in voting as it is now and obviously are carefully selected and controlled by the local Dem party organizations.

My money is on cap and trade.

Secession and the 2nd Civil War is not impossible. Americans will continue to die to defend their freedom, abroad and in this country.

That’s like saying no one could stop Hitler. So, just let the camps continue.

Except now, the Republican now know, the Tea Party has their backs.

Never in my life have I ever seen the fighting spirit we just saw last night from our Republicans in the House. Never. It was just awesome, to see them smack down those liberals.

THEY HAVE GROWN A SPINE, we just need to give them a hearty dose of calcium every day. They listened.

I heard that Axelrod said, now let the Ruplicans try to stop this, then they would have to explain why they don't want that child to have the pre existing insurance. (not an exact quote)

Heard this on Fox, just a little while ago.

That is how they plan to defeat us, BLAME GAME as usual.

And, they have a very good chance at being successful.

America is awakening to this nightmare. They now know that the current “legislature” is not listening to them and is cramming unpopular agendas down our throats.

What is happening now is a type and intensity of remonstrance and anger that has not surfaced in this country for many many years. This anger is focused and given that the economy is in terrible condition, change including repeal is very possible.

It is hitting the fan and America is awakening. Don’t underestimate this; it is not business as usual.

"To be repealed, it first must become law. It will not become law until the question of constitutionality is settled."

Ah, no. It's a law the moment Obama affixes his signature to the bill. It will remain the law of the land until it is either repealed, amended or the Supreme Court decides that there's some constitutional infirmity and strikes it from law.

This is what I have been saying and Freepers seem to think I am giving up. I really don’t have any say in the matter as our so-called representatives don’t care what we think anyway. Elections have consequences.

The media will all say it’s hopeless to repeal. They can KMA! The conservative pundits who say this will sicken me even more.

How do we fight? Who do we fight? Keep electing Republicans? If the Republicans couldn’t stop Nobama, my feeling is they can’t get this repealed.

Well, I'm not saying never, but it won't be repealed until sometime after Jan. 20, 2013. So long as Obama wields the power of the Veto, it's a mathematical impossibility to repeal Obamacare. Those are the facts. It's better to face them, than to ignore them.
