I don’t want to depress anyone with the facts of life, but avoidance of them only adds to the delusion. How can anyone fight what they don’t admit?

Have you forgotten where you are? All we do is confront and discuss the nation's ills on this website. There's more terrifying news per square inch on FR than anyplace I know of. Don't tell me people around here won't "admit" to what they're seeing.

The point I'm trying to drive home to you, is that you're moping around on the floor in all of our troubles, instead of showing some fight, and resolving to do something about it.

Comments like, "it's hopeless", "it's all over", "America is finished", etc., do nothing except demoralize the troops, and show everyone who's watching that the person making such comments has either surrendered, or is actively working for the enemy.

If you're in the former camp, perhaps FR is too depressing and scary a place for you. Perhaps you need to go fishing, or read some good books for a while. Withdraw from the fight, if you have no stomach for it.

If you're in the latter camp (which I don't believe you are) then you'll be outed eventually, and dispatched by the mods.

We're in a war for our very survival as a nation, my friend. If you can't withhold your defeatist comments, I suggest you learn to live with the brickbats that will come your way.

I didn’t realize that the terms of service required rosy scenarios that posters don’t believe in. Just a cursory check of my past posts shows consistent hatred for the socialist hell that has been wreaked on this country.

People metaphorcally have two competing visions about future America: 1. confidence in the ability to reform a heroin addict who sells herself for a living, via an intervention and heavy maintenance; or 2. the realization that most likely outcome is more of the same, with eventual tragedy.

I’m not trying to dissuade any pollyannas about the impending bankruptcy of this country. I simply think it is vital to be faithful to the facts of the situation.
