Fire Nancy Pelosi: GOP website aims to raise $400G to oust Speaker

In response to their failure to stop health care reform from passing last night, the Republicans have set their sights on a new goal: Nancy Pelosi's job as Speaker of the House.

The GOP's official Web site has been replaced by firenancypelosi.com, boasting a goal to knock the Democratic leader from her post by winning 40 seats in the House of Representatives in November's elections.

"It is time to fire Nancy Pelosi and send a message to President Obama that it's time to stop their partisan liberal agenda of government takeovers and start working for Americans to create jobs and grow our economy," RNC Chairman Michael Steele said in a statement late last night.

Here is the candidate . .

. . you will be helping to defeat by sending money to the RNC/RCCC.

Then Pelousi will win in a walk.

"On second thought, old Uncle Joe Stalin might be adjudged too “conservative” for that crowd."

You could be right. After all, Uncle Joe was a big supporter of the military....

I agree, but then again Scott Brown got elected and up to 2 weeks before that election, the thought a Republican Senator from Mass was met with guffaws in the MSM.

Stupid idea. Pelosi could be broadcast live on C SPAN torturing kittens on the House floor and still be reelected in that moonbat district.

They need to devote their efforts toward people in a sane district, not the lunatic asylum inmates who vote for this woman election after election.

There's a big difference between a Senate seat and a congressional district. Her congressional district has been specially drawn for her and all other communists to follow. Your analogy is more akin to there's hope in defeating Barbara Boxer in November.

Won’t her party turn against her and dethrone her if they lose a lot of seats in Nov, even if they still hold the majority? Or is she foever the speaker as long as they are in the majority?

It is stupid to try to beat her in her district. It is one of the most liberal in the country as I understand it. Put the money toward taking over the house so she is just another member again.

Harry Reid is beatable, but Pelosi is not...and even if you did beat her, you would wind up with a massive RINO anyway.

Better to have her in there as a scarecrow.

Good Lord. You just need to castrate the majority. She’s done.

Spend that kind of money in areas where there’s greater chance for GOP victory.

Need a Trojan Horse.

There always seems to be several Republicans who vote with or defect to the other side over the course of their careers.

Why couldn’t one go the other way?

I mean, I would even be willing to run as a Dem and then flip flop once elected, except for two things...

1) I don’t live in California, and

2) It would take forever to get that stink off.

I got a robo-call from a woman who is running against Queen Nancy. The woman claimed to be a Republican, but it was just the SOS. I think you are wasting your money if you give to this one. Better to support real Constitutionalists where ever you find them.

Spend that kind of money in areas where there’s greater chance for GOP victory.

That's what this campaign is for - it's not to fund a candidate in her district, but to start to raise cash to take back the House.

In her district, she is considered a moderate. Unless she is term-limited out, she can stay there as long as she wants, esp. with this feather in her cap.

There is no one in her district with a snowballs chance. Some districts are untouchable and will remain so as long as the status quo remains.

Ronald Reagan would have no chance in her district... I don't think he did even when he was alive.

Many in the S.F. Bay Area still have severe cases of R.D.S. (Reagan Derangement Syndrome) I hear it all the time on local talk radio.

In November all this will be long forgotten. The tidal wave will be a mere ripple on the water. Nothing will happen.

In Germany we’ll have a quite important election (i.e. important for our former conservative party) in a few weeks. I’ll make use of my civil liberty and will irresponsibly vote for a lunatic fringe right wing party (NPD). I will do this in every election until our conservatives change or a new party appears. I’ll laugh when the CDU loses.

At least- that is what the DemocRATs are hoping.

Just like no Republican will ever win in MA? You get a good candidate and lower turnout from the whackjobs and who knows what might happen.
