The New Ledger ^ | 3/22/2010 | Ben Domenech

For as long as the political fight took over the past year, the abbreviated review process on the health care legislation currently pending on President Obama’s desk is unquestionably going to result in some surprises — as happens with any piece of mashed-up legislation — both for the congressmen who voted for it and for the American people.

Pathetic and shows how much they really believe in this horrible law.

The TIME quote in here is laughable. False story about racist comments with video proof to the contrary and that’s what makes the news.

It should be unconstitutional for them to have a different health plan. What, one for the corrupticians and one for the masses? That one needs to be challenged.

After the November elections, Republicans should pass a bill in the House repealing congressional (and staff) exemptions from Obamacare and make Dems filibuster it in the Senate or make Obama veto it.

If so then why is it good for us and not good enough for them.

In a communists society, only Party members have good health care.

The Republicans shoud do everything in their power to force a vote on a provision to make all government employees subject to this bill. Keep it in the headlines day after day, and use every procedural trick in the book.

There are a fair number of conservative representatives fighting for us, but I wish I were more convinced that the Republicans had a solid road map to move forward. They did a good job of staying united but there is always room for improvement. They need to stay on the offensive - they have the public on their side!

We all need to write letters to the editor of our local papers, the media is not going to point this out - and this is just one of the issues that will enrage ordinary people that read it. There is no justification for anyone to be exempt from this heinous legislation - except that they are TOO GOOD to have to submit to it!

@!#@$^$#@!@#@@!!!!!! (I can’t say what I really think)

Had a good conversation with a fellow employee last night and there was another female employee standing alongside during our conversation. This young man asked why everyone was so upset about the healthcare. Before I could even start in, the other female employee (who I thought was a liberal), just went off on how they are forcing us to pay for healthcare, taking it forcably from our paychecks, and of course the trillions it will cost WHICH WE DON’T have! I felt better just listening to her! And the young man got more than he bargained for (I also printed off something from Heritage.org’s website on the constitutionality issue surrounding Obamacare). He thought it was very informative and in the end started to understand why everyone was so upset! This whole business may just serve to wake up the IGNORANT MASSES! (though I’m not holding my breath there~)
