WASHINGTON — Hours after President Barack Obama signed historic health care legislation, a potential problem emerged. Administration officials are now scrambling to fix a gap in highly touted benefits for children.
Obama made better coverage for children a centerpiece of his health care remake, but it turns out the letter of the law provided a less-than-complete guarantee that kids with health problems would not be shut out of coverage.
Under the new law, insurance companies still would be able to refuse new coverage to children because of a pre-existing medical problem, said Karen Lightfoot, spokeswoman for the House Energy and Commerce Committee, one of the main congressional panels that wrote the bill Obama signed into law Tuesday.

This just illustrates the incompetence of those writing this piece of garbage... and it shows even further that Nancy Pelosi was right, i.e., “pass this health care bill and then we’ll see what it contains.” Surprise!!! And these are the folks who will be running America’s health care. How many more surprises will be uncovered? We are so screwed!
They have to pass a new law and if the Repubs are smart they refuse to agree to it unless they entire thing is repealed and redrafted.
The message is that the Democrats in their haste to pass a bill
A) Didn’t read it,
B) Didn’t understand what they were voting on and
C) Managed to screw over the children.

I think that’s what really bothers me, they didn’t even read it. They should not be even getting involved with Healthcare AT ALL since it does not fall under federal jurisdiction (until now).
Every one of those Reps who signed onto this because Nance told them and B Hussein are all communists.
We were warned there would be enemies within...and they are in the federal govt.
So, Federal funding for killing unborn children made it in no problem.
But Federal funding for healing sick children was not important enough.
