With legislation encompassing almost 3,000 pages, it will take time to find out exactly what the mandates in the newly passed health care law mean for America. After all, it wasnt until the end of last week that the reconciliation bill was even made public. But here's something we already have uncovered. And it's shocking. -- In addition to all the special favors doled out to various congressional districts, it turns out that the congressional staff who wrote the health care bill put in special favors for themselves, too.
While everyone else in the United States -- from the top corporate executives to the grocery store checkout clerk -- will be forced to buy their insurance through heavily regulated state-run exchanges, the health care bill excludes one group: the leadership and committee staff. Yes, thats right. The very people who wrote up this bill are refusing to be included themselves. Given the narrow definition of congressional staff on page 158 of the health care bill, the Congressional Research Service memo believes that courts will not require professional committee staff, joint committee staff, some shared staff, as well as potentially those staff employed by leadership offices to go through the exchanges. President Obama and his family are also exempt from the law. . . .

I would love to hear Reid’s explanation on this but no one is the MSM will bother to ask him.
I hope it means one thing; the democRATs lose big come November.
In an earlier Fox News article today, Reid blamed it on Sen. Coburn. Said that amendment was offered by Coburn and is word-for-word for Coburn proposed in committee.
Coburn denies.
What greater evidence is there of malfeasance than forcing the population into a health care plan, but exempting themselves?
I would like to know who all was involved in actually writing this bill. Not just ideas and suggestions, but who sat down and wrote 2700 pages of crap.
Well luckily for us, this was the most transparent process in all congressional history. We can simply cue up the CSPAN tapes of the process and consult the extensive notes taken in those closed-door meetings, and see what was what.
I’m shocked... /s
Maybe they exempted themselves to make the plan a little less expensive for us taxpayers?
All animals are equal. Some animals are more equal than others.
Oh yeah, I forget this was the most transparent administration in history.
I agree, more people need to know that Congressional higher ups are exempt from this turkey of a bill.
Liberal is a synonym for hypocrite. OK, mentally diseased socialist hypocrite.
Since nobody has any clue what is in the bill, the Democrats being as evil as they are, I assure you they are revising entire sections as we speak. Anything pages that don’t match the final version they are still writing up will be said to be an incidental version accidentally posted for public consumption.
“Oops, we accidentally published an older version floating around. HERE is the real version we passed in the dead of night on the Senate Floor.” Who is to tell it wasn’t.
I assure you this is happening. They are revising entire sections to suit their whims. I guarantee this is happening.
While it is true that the MSM is not going to be asking these, and other tough questions, there is nothing stopping every single republican that is on one of their gab shows from repeating this simple question several times.
If this bill is so great, why did they make sure that congress, their staff and the president are exempt from it.
Just keep saying it over, and over. Eventually someone will have to say something.
Of course that would require for republicans to be something other than the gutles wonders they are.
