Gerrymandered IL 17th Phil Hare vs Bobby Schilling could be just as close as IL 8th Melissa Bean vs Joe Walsh.

Joe is a nice guy but has a lot to learn about politics. Rahm Emmanuel, as in the past, will send the right cosultatns to eat Joe Walsh for breakfast.

Schilling seems to have some idea about what it means to be a candidate.

IL 11th and IL 14 Kinsinger and Hultgren win unless they self-destruct. Rahm can’t beat them. They could only beat themselves by doing/saying something stupid.

IL 10th Dold seems not as bad as Kirk. Kirk is 100% pro-abort. Dold only 40% pro-abort. I can’t see Dold ever going the wrong way on Cap-n-trade and similar economic issues.

Who should have run, in the 8th District? Last May, I emailed State Sen. Matt Murphy, and I asked him to run for Congress. He sent a response and said that he would consider it. If Bean wins, this year, I hope that Murphy will run against her, in 2012.

I agree with you about Bob Dold. He’ll probably win, and he’s more conservative than Kirk.

OK. I'll upgrade Hultgren to "Freeper Endorsed" status along with Kinzinger, Walsh and Dold.

Ryan is definitely a viable candidate plus he’s the kind we want, a solid conservative. He’s registered a commanding lead in a recent straw poll and I believe will prove himself to be the people’s choice.

Argall has the PAGOP endorsement as a “political insider”(The PA GOP is notorious for endorsing establishment types that tend to have RINO qualities) but is also saddled with a legislative pay raise scandal that could destroy him in November. Count on Holden to use it against him.

I don’t know much about First but that he’s gained no traction and looks to be an also ran.I’m pinging Honest Conservative to this post. She could provide you with some knowledgeable insight into this and many of the PA races.

This race will boil down to Ryan and Argall in my view.

May I tell you about Dave Argall?

He was in the PA House as a supervisor to those folks who are now on trial in the Bonusgate scandal. He was not indicted or to my knowledge implicated directly. However as a leader while bonusgate was going on, As such, he is either crocked or stupid.

He is another of Gleason’s boys.

Oh, and btw, Holden was permitted to vote no on the HC Bill because Pelosi had the vote and his seat is indanger thanks to Frank Ryan.

He is a pelosi puppet.

We will show Frank Ryan as the “Freeper Endorsed” candidate on tomorrows update. That update will also include clickable PDF files. Clicking on any candidate’s name will take you to his campaign web page. Much thanks to randita for chasing all of those links down.

I've made the change from his Facebook link. Not much of a web page IMHO.

Also, I'm adding in a column for the Cook Political Report take on the leaning D, leaning R etc. It may replace Sabato if I can't get any additional inputs from his website. Of course I haven't tried yet.

I'm going to finish all the updates and generate clickable pdf files that I will provide links to with tomorrow's (Wednesday) UPDATE. Right now we are a little shy of having a "Freeper Endorsement" for half the races. Need to keep plugging along.

Thanks. I think updating for Sabato is all I have left to do today unless we get some late "Freeper Endorsements". I will start a thread on Wednesday morning with the updates and will include the clickable pdf files.

I'm hoping for more Freeper inputs but I think we are going to have to sort out some of these races ourselves. I'm going to start Googling the "hot House races" and combing over our four lists (Sabato et al) to see if we have missed any races that should be on our list. I think we should be able to turn up a few obvious Republican front runners and if they have the necessary conservative credentials then maybe we just put them in as the leaders on our list. That will be case by case of course.

I'm also betting we have missed a few races that still need to be added. And there are at least a few that should come off.

We will show Frank Ryan as the “Freeper Endorsed” candidate on tomorrows update.

Thanks IP, like Bill Russell in PA12 or Allen West in FL22, Frank Ryan is the solid conservative candidate profile that fits with Free Republic and the Master List Project.

I hit 4 eastern state Tea Party Facebook pages this afternoon and left the link for this thread there. I’ll wait until you post the update tomorrow and hit a few more. I’m trying to hit the ones that have the primaries coming up in May and June first as the info is more timely in those cases.

The hardest slug of work is done. Now the tweaking begins.

May want to think about the potential for using this list as impetus for a Money Bomb to specific candidates who need that extra push over the finish line.

You are reading my mind. We are moving into the tweaking mode but I’m still worried about the 40 or so districts where we have no idea who we should be supporting. I would hate to have this list go out widely before we have the list pretty much complete.

Look at all the feedback you’ve gotten in only two days. I think that if you post this often for the next week or so, you’ll start to get a good following and you’ll have those unknowns filled in.

I was hoping that with the facebook Tea Party contacts, it might help traffic increase to FR and also to threads like this and also would help with filling in those blanks. As long as it is stressed that this is a work in progress and will be continually updated from now until Nov., I don’t think there’s a problem disseminating it.

Do you know how to make an announcement on FR’s state pages? I don’t. If you left a message targeting FReepers in specific states where info is needed, you might get answers.

If that doesn’t work, then I wonder if some emails or phone calls to the GOP office in those districts might help.

I don’t think it would be hard to whittle down the challengers to only three just by looking at the bios and web pages of the candidates. But not yet. FReeper input is the best.

One discouraging thing I read on Sabato pertaining to the AR 1 seat (Marion Berry) is that it should be a gimme for the GOP, but they failed in recruiting a good challenger.

There are four people in the GOP primary. I would say after that is decided I could get you a better idea.
