Teachers aren't allowed to protect students. They are effectively handcuffed by 1,000 politically correct Zero Tolerance policies and 10,000 "my child can do no wrong" parents.
Did people think such absurd krapp would have no consequences?
The DU is up in arms over this. They came up with a funny nickname called “Not My Snowflake” as a slang term for parents who refuse to face that their children are monsters.
What we have here are spoiled brat parents raising spoiled brat kids. I’m from the generation whose parents said, “If you get in trouble at school, you’ll also be spanked at home.”
It really is a miracle that anyone survives high school. We warehouse little malformed, or not-yet-formed, idiots by the thousands, many of whom act like feral dogs (not all, of course). And the we expect their dysfunctional culture to operate by civilized rules? These fools ought to be flogged in the middle of town at high noon for what they did.
In about ten years, it will probably hit these kids that what they did is a horrible, vile thing. They’ll start having psych problems, go for therapy, and end up on Oprah. But things have a way of coming back around. Presumably, some of these kids will one day be parents. Wonder if THEIR little darlings will ever be victimized by savages?
