I hold the school just as responsible. It is the teacher's and administrator's school after all. If they are not responsible for the environment that is provided, then who is? They get paid to run the school, and they are responsible for what happens at the school.
Sure, incidents can happen which they can't prevent, but this was over an extended period of time, and the tragedy is not the result of one incident, but rather the result of the school's environment.

Sure, in a perfect world they are responsible. In today’s public schools teachers are responsible for paying their union dues, and administrators are responsible for placating teachers so that they won’t complain to those unions.

Thats one of the biggest problems, the parents of the bullies can never except that their kid may be a little &hit and the schools find it more convienent to get rid of the victims instead of confronting the bullies and their parents.

This family will probably bring a civil case against the school administration. The names of the teachers and administrators who did nothing will become public. Who in the future will hire them when their names are publicized? This type of thing is a career killer, as it should be.

Isn’t it amazing that parents and students have to “own up” to responsibililty, but these public school slugs don’t have to?
