In one respect, both parties have surrendered to the notion that the government has the responsibility to provide medical coverage. It is only a matter of degree. I would very much appreciate some politicians debating the proper role of government. Whatever happened to the view of a limited federal government? When did Washington and the voters come to the opinion that the federal government is supposed to provide for health care, social security, and education?
