I think I may be leaning towards him instead of Sarah.

I like him. He’s a fighter.

“Still too young, hasn’t been an executive of anything and desperately needed in Congress. But if he were picked for veep all could fall into place perfectly”

Despite the above, I would suspect he is still probably more qualified and experienced than the current WH occupant

A thousand times better!

(But I don’t want him pushed too far too soon.)

Too bad he supported McCain. Under the bus with Palin he goes!

You know what he is really good at? Listening intently and his mind is so keen, he is formulating his responses at the same time without missing a beat. It’s quite remarkable to watch him in action. Obama can’t do that, as he is always preoccupied with himself...lol.

Ryan is sincere and comes of as trustworthy in a sea of congressional scum too.

We really have quite a few great people to choose from when the time comes. Jim Demint,Sarah and Ryan are tops on my short list right now.

Yeah I know, but Kemp knew his budget stuff.

Like I said for Now he seems like a keeper.

Indeed he did.

“Like I said for Now he [Ryan] seems like a keeper.”

Agreed!

Add my DOCTOR SENATOR TOM COBURN, OKLAHOMA!

In my thinking, a hemorrhaging nation, just might need the services of a good doctor.

:)

I don't buy the "too young" thing - Ryan's over 35, which is plenty old enough to be a great president. As for not being an executive - well, apparently he served as the president of his own consulting firm, which is more executive experience than our current president had. In Congress, he's one member among hundreds - as president, he could lead this nation back on a course that might eventually cross over into the fabled land of Fiscal Sanity.

This guy appears to be smart, a quick thinker, very articulate, and devoted to smaller government. Unless some other shoe drops soon, I think Ryan needs to be the guy.

FWIW, Ryan is only 30, and will be too young to run for president in 2012 (you have to be at least 35).

Stupid me.... I only do math for a living. He was born in 1970, which makes him 40.

Add Michelle Bachmann to that list. She is super smart, tough, and a no compromise on fighting and repealing 0bamcare.

I really like the fact that he's economically literate.

I would want to get a sense of his acumen as regards foreign affairs, though.

ABC News' Teddy Davis reports:

Rep. Paul Ryan, a Wisconsin Republican who has recently been under attack by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and lavished with praise by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R), is ruling out a 2012 run for president.

"I'll give you as Shermanesque a quote as I can," said Ryan.  "I am not going to run for president. I'm just not going to do it. My head's not that big, and my kids are too small.”

That’s why he is the PERFECT anti-venom to Obama...because ‘his head’s not that big’!! I hope he rethinks his position...at least at some point. He does have plenty of time since he is so young but if we win in 2012..it could be 8 years or more before he gets another shot.

At the very least the Republican’s should trot Ryan out on the tube whenever the topic involves domestic policy, law and budget. The man is well versed and demands respect. Look for the commies to dig up dirt anytime now.

Y”up, I think he’s the only one right now that could have Obama’s ass on a plate in a debate. Sorry Sarah, I loves ya, but I don’t think you can win. Just my 2 cents.”

I agree. What alot of people don’t realize is that Sarah is real squishy on immigration. She’s said that she’s not for “total amnesty”. It’s amnesty or it’s not. She’s a great asset, but I don’t think it’s in the White House. Paul Ryan is the one to watch.

He doesn’t strike me as a man that would have any ‘dirt’ to ‘dig up’...but it won’t stop the commie scumbags from inventing some of course.
