Not unless they are already retired and living off of a fat government or union pension. Aside from tourism, there really aren’t many other industries in Maine that don’t require a guy or gal to actually do some honest work (the kinds in which your clothes may get dirty and your hands may develop some calluses here and there) to bring home a decent wage. Not a lib paradise!

The winter weather is a deal breaker for me. I love Maine lobster, but that’s about all. :)

Never been there, and no plans to visit. Place always struck me with three things: rain, snowmobiles, and lobsters.
