Do you remember what street you lower E side grandmother lived on?
No, not sure if I ever did. She was raised by a single mom (their dad died young) with 2 sisters and 2 brothers in what my mother calls a cold-water-flat. For reasons I still don’t know, she absolutely hated her mom.
Once when I was a kid I was mad at my mom and told grandma “she’s a witch.” Grandma said “your mother is NOT a witch! MY mother was the witch!”
