KING: 100 percent repeal of Obamacare
Wash Times ^ | 4/2/10 | Steve King

Posted on 04/02/2010 8:40:11 PM PDT by pissant

President Obama, speaking at a rally in Iowa City on March 25, challenged opponents of Obamacare who have vowed repeal. To repeal advocates, the President said, "Go for it."

Before the first light of dawn on the morning after this Pelosi Congress sent Obamacare to the President's desk, I started the process to repeal. My decision to take this fight to and through the next election and probably through the presidential election in 2012 was not a knee jerk response to a legislative defeat. It is a commitment to the Constitution, fiscal responsibility, real health care reform and American Liberty.

President Obama, Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Reid - the troika that controls America today - have long had designs to shove America into the abyss of socialism. Their philosophy, political power and cynical effort to expand the dependency class all lined up to make Obamacare the law of the land. The highest price every generation of Americans will pay is not measured in dollars but in lost liberty.

America is a unique nation with unmatched vitality. The rights and liberties which transformed the "Dream" into the reality of American Exceptionalism are written on our hearts. We have a vitality that is unmatched because we have skimmed the cream of the crop off every donor civilization.

I think the GOP has found it’s spine — King’s outspokenness is one example

I'm not certain that the GOP has found it's spine, but I do believe the so called "silent majority" has.

We hard working, tax paying, middle class, patriotic Americans, who "cling to our guns and Bibles", have finally had enough, and hopefully we will shake up the world in November.

There WERE riots in the streets! The Townhall meetings were a crushing defeat for the Democrats and the people SHOUTED “NO” to the health care bill.

This was a huge outcry. Largest I have seen in my lifetime — and yet it didn’t stop our committed enemy. The communist Democrats held the Executive and Legislature and that was that. Actual riots in the streets would have done no more to stop Obamacare.

Now we need to retake those branches of government and completely repeal Obamacare. It is our only chance now.

REPEAL OR REVOLT

Reminds me of The Wizard of Id:

Castle guard: "The peasants are revolting!"
King: "You can say THAT again!"

See my tag (for the last few days) and post #41.

"I agree that it’s getting to be late, but I think November 2010 is not too late, but it’s our LAST chance..."

Just putting 2+2 together here...
With the massive gains that the socialists have made, do you really think that the November elections and the 2012 election will go off without a hitch? I have a gut feeling that they will do anything to prevent such a setback.

Methinks if I were a congressman (blachhh! yuk!), I would write something like this.

But, I would also DO something to increase awareness and get the people behind me to DO the things that I said we should DO.

Nice words, but let’s see some risk-taking congressman—let’s see some real fight!

We are ready to line-up behind and beside someone who will really take it to these commie bastards.

That’s what we need: LEADERSHIP! And King has it.

Since McConnel can't strategize his way out of a wet paper bag and go for full repeal given that a majority of Americans hate ObamaCare, I say Ditch Mitch and give Steve King the job of Minority Leader.

President King sounds a little odd.

I could get used to that particular irony.

Steve King should seriously consider running for President. Out of all the so-called Presidential hopefuls I am not that enthusiastic about many of them, but I would be about King.

King/Bachmann would be a dynamic ticket in many ways. A woman for VP 2 times in a row? Why not.

******

How about this idea when it comes to applying Obama'a challenger to "Go for it":

How about applying Obama's "Go for it" to the birthers' longtime quest to get Hawaii officials to release Obama's long form birth certificate?

So I challenge birthers to take up Obama's battle cry of "Go for it" and apply it to their quest to force Hawaii officials to release Obama's long form birth certificate so that birthers can find out once and for all if Obama's long Hawaii long form birth certificate has or has not a doctor's signature and a hospital name on it.

Again, I say to birthers: "Go for it" until you finally force Hawaii officials to release Obama's long form birth certificate, the one with the doctor name and hospital name on it.

Of course they enjoy the victory. They wallow in the glorious feeling of winning.

King can not succeed because he lacks the power and votes to repeal. The coming election will not provide the means either. The Republicans can not amass the strength or the will to repeal.

The only salvation will come through the courts.

If the courts fail, there must be war against the cities.

Great article! I hope & pray that God will honor the prayers & efforts of millions of Americans to overturn & repeal this DeathCare monstrosity. So far, God seems to be honoring & blessing the socialist-fascist-demoRAT pigs who are bankrupting & destroying our country.

Doctors HATE Obamacare. Just about all of them — it will restrict their ability to make decisions for the patient, won’t let them order necessary tests, it penalizes them for treating chronically ill patients, it will be a real strain on their conscience and their pocketbook. They will be slaves, work harders, for less money and not being able to provide the care they would like to, to patients. There were polls that many doctors, all those who are financially able to will retire, as in close to 50%. will retire. We will be left with significantly fewer, less experienced doctors, who will have the government dictate to them how they should treat or not treat patients.

The AMA supported it, but only about 17% (may be 20%), but in any case it’s a very low number of doctors belong to the AMA. In addition, just as AARP didn’t represent their membership when they supported Obamacare, neither did AMA.
