Angry Fox News executives ordered host Sean Hannity to abandon plans to broadcast his nightly show as part of a Tea Party rally in Cincinnati on Thursday after top executives learned that he was set to headline the event, proceeds from which would benefit the local Tea Party organization.

I read about this a little earlier at Hot Air. I tuned in at the beginning of Hannity to see and there he was in studio. He’s been saying for weeks he’d be live from Cinci tonight. Disappointing. I was expecting to see the crowds.
Source for that?
Welcome aboard=-)
He hasn’t said a word about it thus far on his tv show and I doubt that he will. My guess is that Fox told him to withold any comment until all the legal aspects of this are looked into, I would imagine there are some unhappy Cincinnati organizers looking into breach of contract.
Yea, I’ve noticed that. Looks like he had to scramble at the last minute to get guests on, too. (At least it’s not the usual McShame, Newt and Bob Beockle, tho!) It all just seems a bit odd...with Glenn Beck and Cavuto having been at TP events.
Hume - maybe. Not big on trusting anyone today. Big into reading multiple sources inside USA and outside, but I don’t trust any of them as far as I could throw them.
Fox news is afraid of being labeled “unfair and unbalanced” Yet when Ollie North ran for senate in VA, Katie Couric used her influence to bash him and also to push for her sister who was running for a state office out of Charlottesville.
That's Occidental College ... once again proving that any idiot can post whatever the rumor of the moment happens to be. If you can back it up ... great, obviously if you can't get the spelling right that's entirely unlikely.
Someone with some clout must have told Fox to pull the plug as they have been planning this show for months in advance and no secret was made that admission was being charged for the event.
Maybe a credible threat on Sean’s life was made and the FBI advised a change of plans.
You never know, with these loony libs, when or where they are going to strike.
Tonight Shep Smith (Fox) reported on the Polish President passing along with his wife making the death total 95..(He used the #93 plus the couple). Now, the Telegraph.co.uk reported 96 dead in the crash yesterday as "one more". Shep still used 95. Who or how did there come to be an "extra person" on board?
Yeh and the other day there were reports that 97 and 98 died. Like I said, most media outlets aren’t to be trusted 100%. Truth is not their highest priority.
IDEEFIXE isn’t a troll. Trolls don’t hang around or explain their position.
Take a Valium and quit being so overreactive.
The books were (written) & signed for charity purposes. But the special cost to be near Hannity $20 was to go to the cost of the day's affair?...someone messed up somewhere..I understand corporate's pulling it as they did. Big problems if they had financially supported the tea party when Hannity was appearing for the tea party and not on official business for fox news, as Cavuto was doing.
We get too many self-interests here involved with a described "fair and balanced" business of reporting news. Hannity called it "technical".
It is an embarrassment to Hannity.
However the people who were said by the LA Times when interviewed and appeared angry by leaving could have been manufactured..as first and foremost was the Tea Party Protest mission, not a Hannity tour.
Yes, but the question might be who controls Murdock?
This event has been hyped and advertised here (55KRC) for weeks now and it was well known that $5 was the admission price. If you wanted to sit in the area near where the tv show was to be shot then it was $20 and it was announced that the proceeds go to the Cincinnati Tea Party.
Overall I think its a huge embarrassment to the Tea Party and specifically the CTP. Check out the article at the Enquirer and then read the comments, of course the libtrolls are having an absolute field day with this.

Reading throughout this thread the best post stated that Conservatives need to turn off the TV. Amen brother!
(Hannity is a blowhard anyways)
What I would like to know is if having a NEWS PERSONALITY speak at a Democratic Fundraising event raises the same LEGAL issues?
I agree, Hannity had to clear this with management to get the production team in place, sat uplinks, transport and insurance for guests, production meeting in New York for feeds and spots...could be the entrance fee for this particular event this got lost in the multi-city tour sign off. This may have been an Ailes call. Regardless it is embarrassing for all involved.
No kidding. I've been called things that would make a hooker blush.
