A Michigan man could face life in prison after he allegedly tortured and ultimately killed his girlfriend's 4-year-old son last week for wetting his pants, prosecutors say.
Brandon Joshua-Frederick Hayes, 24, "systematically beat" Dominick Calhoun, 4, "pummeling [him] with fists and kicking him" on his arms, legs and genitalia, Genesee County prosecutor David Leyton told CNN.
Hayes also apparently burned the boy in the course of the torture. "The knuckles across one hand were charred," Argentine Township police chief Dan Allen said.
"I've been doing this a long time, and this is the worst case of child abuse I've ever seen," the police chief said. "In all respects, he was tortured."
Prosecutors arraigned Hayes on Thursday on nine charges, including one count of first-degree premeditated murder, one count of first-degree child abuse and one count of torture, which by itself carries a possible life sentence.

This is sickening. This guy should never see the light of day for the rest of his life.

What could possibly go through a person’s mind to do something like this to a 4 year old? I know kids can get on your nerves, but this is just inhuman.

They found the body of a 6 year old at a park in Wylie Tx... he’s the size of a 3 year old. They’re looking for anyone who might know something about him. He might have been fed through a feeding tube they said.
Can these women really not do better at picking their “partners” (I really hate that term)??
I think I see what you are saying. When the governor deals with this guy’s execution date he’ll have to wonder about the justice of this man getting death while a bit more than 48 months earlier the boy could have been torn to pieces and removed from his mother without a peep of publicity or penalties.
The guy looks drugged out or retarded.
People who do things like this need to formally have their membership in the human race revoked. He belongs in a pound, with the pit bulls who ripped kid’s face off, waiting a day or two until the vet gets there to euthanize him with a $5 dollar shot. Taxpayers should not be forced to pay for terating these people like human beings, beyond a quick trial to determine that they really did what they’re accused of.
The death penalty should be brought in.

Dominick Calhoun didn’t have the luxury of any last requests, neither should the POS that murdered him.
How does this happen - never mind; I know 'how' and why. That these people still walk our streets is what I don't understand.
