Robert McCartney, the liberal Washington Post columnist, has done something that Chris Matthews and his fellow leftist MSNBC hosts have yet to do: attend a tea party rally without being confrontational and/or snarky. McCartney went to a tea party with an open mind last week and this is what he discovered:
I went to the "tea party" rally at the Washington Monument on Thursday to check out just how reactionary and potentially violent the movement truly was.
Answer: Not very.
Based on what I saw and heard, tea party members are not seething, ready-to-explode racists, as some liberal commentators have caricatured them.

So McCartney clearly states his biases, then he tries to accurately report what he saw and heard.
Sorry, but that's not going to cut it at the Washington Post. Exactly how does McCartney think that his bizarre method of reporting will advance the progressive cause? How do his delusions of objectivity make a difference to society? Who does he think he works for?
McCartney may once have been a useful idiot, but with this piece he stopped being useful.
Perhaps that is why they are so eager to keep this type of information out of history books. Shameful.
As was Bull Conner, Jim Crow, and a majority of the segregrated south. As a reminder, the Civil Rights bill only passed because a Majority of Republicans voted for it in a higher percentage than the Democrats.
