“Natural Born requires both parents to be citizens.”

IMHO, the SCOTUS has not (yet) ruled definitively on this. It is clear that IF both parents are citizens then the child is a NBC.

I would recommend a reading of Minor v. Happersett, which casts doubt on the ‘natural-born citizen’ status of the class of citizens that are born to one citizen parent, and one non-citizen parent - which is the case with Obama if he were born in HI and BO Sr. was his daddy. If he was born in Kenya, say Ann Dunham was chasing his Dad down there, there is real doubt whether she was old enough to pass along even her US citizenship to BHO, based on the statutes of the time.

Why did the Supreme Court not take this up before the election, as they really should have?

This is a friggin' nightmare for SCOTUS ...

On one hand, if they take the case and declare Obama to be a natural born citizen, they open up the possibility of an "agent provocateur" - of the type that the Founding Fathers were expressly concerned about. And, God forbid, if a such a person were to occupy the White House in the future [and wrecked havoc on america] - the institution of SCOTUS would be severely tarnished ...

On the other hand, if they disqualify him - they run the risk of civil unrest and what to do about all the laws, EOs, etc. that he will have signed as POTUS ...
