Through the last six years of his life, Parley Nichols, 81, never left his Hartville, Ohio, home without his dog Lady. The two were best friends, soul mates and constant companions who took care of each other.
So when Parley, who had developed dementia, went missing on April 8, it was no surprise that Lady, his 6-year-old golden retriever that he bought as a puppy, was also gone.

Oh, they must love you. Any thoughts on bringing in a third? We have a black lab (Bella) and a scruffy highly intellectual shelter save (Addy), but if we lived on some acreage instead of right off a 4-lane major highway, I think we might have space for one more, so if that day ever comes, I’ll remember Atlanta.:)
I’d have a 3rd, 4th, 5th if I lived on a farm in the country. Two is about all I can handle in the suburbs. Labs are great, too. My dogs frequently go swimming with a neighbor’s lab in a nearby lake.

I love that one. :)
Goldens are the best. There is no better breed for companionship.
