Not for lack of trying. I can think of more than a few Republicans who tried forcing amnesty on us.
But as Peter Schiff said over a year ago. Republicans out of power ACT like republicans talk during elections, against all the bad things, as now.

I think it's pretty obvious that they aren't enforcing the law. Isn't Obama’s aunt, who is a illegal alien, still mooching off taxpayers over there in Boston? If he was enforcing the law then she would have been gone 2 years ago.
Has everybody forgotten what just recently happened in New York City? Had it NOT BEEN FOR NYPD, Zazi would still be on the loose. And WHO was it that got downright upset at NYPD for stopping a terrorist act ALREADY IN MOTION? The feds. And why didn’t the feds act when they should have?
MUSLIMS. And how many MUSLIMS are streaming in here every damn day? ILLEGALLY and running their drugs to finance terrorist activity here and elsewhere that the feds won’t stop? Some of them getting OUR tax money?

As for the states exerting their sovereignty and providing security for their own people ... that is EXACTLY that the states are supposed to do. Keep it up.
