The SWAT Team was called in today at the Quincy Tea Party Rally. Obama was speaking at the convention center this afternoon. Unreal.

That’s not the SWAT team...those are officers in their “riot gear.”
They must have been expecting a large crowd and thought they would need to keep people “back” from the building.
Obviously not a concern.
The scene commander may have done everyone a favor by “overpreparing” and creating a great photo op.

The Tea Parties don't need the big guys. The big guys were all sent to NY today. There's going to be a bunch of crazed, angry, money grubbing, communist union thugs there today. That's where the danger is to the American population right now.

Actually, moving in step in close-order formation *is* an important tool in crowd control. When you want an unruly crowd of “yutes” to disperse — or at least back up — riot control forces, like the ones pictured here, form a line. They then advance on the crowd stomping their right foot down and dragging their left up to the right. It creates a CLOMP - hissss — CLOMP - hissss — CLOMP - hisss rhythm that is downright intimidating. To add to the effect, slap your riot baton on your shield with every stomp.
That said, no matter how intimidating this may be to a crowd of real miscreants (and it *is* intimidating), it looks downright comical when it is done in front of a crowd of little old ladies and old men. The riot cops realize this too. More than one of them has a “man, do I feel like a dweeb” look.
Yup... it could be a convention of Veterans, a convention of Secret Service Agents, or a family reunion: the President/VP will be fully protected.
The Great Obamessiah, Chief Race Pimp, Marxist Usuper and Would be Tin Pot Dictator is a fricken coward!! Afraid of little old ladies waving “Don’t Tread On Me” flags while singing patriotic American songs.
