Atlantic Canadians work on their lands, cultivate their own, fish their own...no talk of immigrants coming here to do the work Atlantic Canadians don’t want to do...for the most part.
Open season for illegal immigrant work in Ontario, Alberta and BC, for the most part.
Having had the opportunity to work in the oil fields in Northern Alberta for the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege to see the demographics literally change before my eyes.
Bout 12-20 years ago, you had the Lebanese population start moving to where the money was, where the oil was. Opening semi-traditional restaurants and driving cabs.
Then, about 5 years later, the Somalians came and started invading the cab industry. When they grew tired of that, they went to the local union halls screaming racism and demanding the halls to open their books.
These thousands, that had NO TRAINING, WORK EXPERIENCE or LANGUAGE SKILLS were signed into our glorious union halls with a small fee of course. So now, with the help of our lax entry laws and workpermit laws, the local unions that bowed under pressure and Western Union, they’re( immigrants ) sending hundreds of thousands of dollars back “ home “ every month, smiles on their faces.
Meanwhile, MEN, hard men, working men, waiting and wanting the chance to work because the fisheries are going to shyte...because our lumber industry is non present now...have to sit in line, wait and hope to get a name hire for a job that might last 2 months.
We’re done in Canada, we’ve lost our way...for the most part.
