Mark Levin said, “The first day I said, “Pick up the damn phone and call the airlines!” Now we learn this: Not all airlines were called.

Then he read the article in Post #284. It was his 2nd item of discussion today, after the stock market plunge.

The feds would do well to hire people not so much based on ethnicity, law degree or filling the jobs with relatives and friends. Theyneed people who have and use common sense - something severely lacking all the way to the top.

Snip: Just a few kilometres from Lahore is the headquarters of the Lashkar-e-Tayyaba, which is banned in Pakistan, India, the US and other countries, but is now under provincial government protection. India blames the group for the deadly 2008 attacks in Mumbai and routinely harangues Pakistan for allowing its leader, Hafiz Saeed, to remain free.

Top 5 million things banned by the Taliban

Snip: Those who fly pigeons -- a favorite Afghan pastime -- will be imprisoned until "their pigeons disappear from their home." Female doctors must wear old clothes and no ornamentation. Male doctors who must treat a female patient because of a medical emergency "can only look at the part that the patient needs looked at; nowhere else can be touched or seen."

Nothing was left to chance or the imagination under the Taliban. Merchants importing products like shampoo would find that Taliban customs officials had gouged out the eyes of the female models on the boxes. The merchants were then required to display the products with black tape over female faces, or be subject to a beating or jailing.
