The author omits that Islam always wants its land back. They want Spain back and they want the land that Israel sits on back. They will never concede to an infidel any land that Islam once ruled over. Muslims have ruled over the Israel-Palestine area for at least 1000 years until the British drove out the Ottoman Empire. The Jews then inherited some of that British colonial land. Paleostinians and other Arabs got the rest.
Militant “Islam” hates the West (not just Israel) because we build skyscrapers while they can’t build much more than a one-story mud hut (because they are dirt-ignorant primitive savages who burn books and treat women little better than goats).
Those “Islamic” countries could be wealthy if they adopted Euro-American ways, but they CHOOSE to remain dirt-ignorant, primitive, superstitious, and violent fanatics. That is why, for example, the average Saudi and Iranian is far poorer than the average Israeli despite the former countries’ oil wealth.
Andrew Bostom has written books about Islamic anti-semitism. The Muslims were worse for Jews than the European Christians...That’s how it seems to me.
You continue to dishonestly conflate the un-Christian behavior of various Christians in the past, in violation of their own teachings, and which is no longer espoused by Christians, with the persecution and submission dogma of Islam which continues unchanged today. We are not in that distant past. We’re in the here and now, and we have to deal honestly with what Islam is today versus other groups.
Moreover, as another poster noted, the Nazis were not Christians, and your despicably dishonest “example” of the six million Jews the Nazis killed versus the 1 million Jews evicted after the founding of Israel pretty much establishes what kind of person you are.
While anti-semitism may be un-Christian, it has been the major tenet of Christianity as practiced in Europe, so I'm not going to buy your argument. From Paul to the Pope to the Protestant church over the years (not to forget Shakespeare or the Spanish Inquisition), antisemitism has been the practice In Europe. Evidence of this Christian Dhimmitude included that Jews were often not permitted to own land, and were the victims of many pogroms and blood libels. Indeed, they were generally typecast as filthy money lenders.
As I said, the Jews under Islam and the Ottoman Empire had a vibrant culture that was much more advanced than the European one, at least through the beginning of the 19th Century.
