In this discussion, I think he’s confusing “black” with “trash.” Underclass areas of white people are horrid, too - Britain’s white slums are as bad as any American inner city.
There are several dozen black families in my subdivision, and they keep their houses up just as well as the white Americans, South Americans, or Eastern Europeans. In the more downscale subdivisions, whites, blacks, and immigrants all have crummy properties.
He’s also confusing “ghetto,” which means “ethnically segregated neighborhood,” with “slum.”
There, he did mention class rather than race at the end, and it’s a good point that blacks are less likely to have two-parent families than other groups.
