WASHINGTON (AP) - Top U.S. law enforcement officials offered no explanation Tuesday for how the suspect in the failed Times Square bombing was allowed to board an international flight despite being hunted by the FBI and being placed on the federal no-fly list.
At a news conference, Attorney General Eric Holder said the suspect, Faisal Shahzad, had admitted trying to set off a car bomb in crowded Times Square on Saturday. He will face terrorism and weapons of mass destruction charges, Holder said.

The airline contacted the authorities, telling them this guy was ON THE PLANE!! Seems to me there would be NO WAY the cops or FBI would deliberately let this sub-human on that airplane. Just think of a possible hostage scenario! It’s pretty obvious that our FBI/law enforcement people simply lost track of him and were bailed out by some guy working for the airline. In plain language, we’re DAMNED LUCKY this joker isn’t in Dubai laughing his butt off right now!! Chalk up another HUGE VICTORY for the Hussein/Napolitano, Keystone cops brigade. We/they were LUCKY the bomb didn’t go off and LUCKY the guy was caught. The MSM and the rest of the Hussein administration will of course claim brilliant homeland security work!
It has been asserted that the one in the middle had a mini-SCRABBLE game in her purse!

They had the aircraft to return to the gate to question two other passengers who were later cleared.

But no charges of treason seeing as he is technically a dual citizen??? I like the WMD charge though. I guess it doesn’t have to be biological weapons, or nuclear weapons to be WMD (I wonder if the Dems are paying attention...) — UNLESS there is something they are not revealing at this point.

There is no dual citizenship for those who are naturalized citizens. They can claim it if they want but they have lied when they took the loyalty oath then.
He’s a citizen. Try him for treason. Instead he’s being tried for having a “WMD” (but if it wasn’t REALLY going to work, you can only convict him of INTENT to possess a WMD).

Let’s say he airline ID’d him, and then let him on the plane. Why? Well, with FBI/LEO on the way, he’s pretty bottled up on the plane, and most likely not carrying anything too dangerous after screening. He is not going to run away, hide in bathrooms, run from concourse to concourse making a mess.
It seems to me to be the least risky way to get him in custody, by trapping him in a tiny seat down a narrow corridor with one door connected to a jetway.
And they got minions along with him too.

I heard Obama this morning citing the fine performance of the agencies in stopping the bombing and capturing the perp. from what I have heard, the bomb didn't detonate (a lucky accident) and the perp was reported by the airline (another lucky accident). Now the perp has probably been Mirandized and is now sitting in his comfy chair with a cool drink, interviewing his twenty or so pro-bono ACLU attorneys.

So his SUV fertilizer bomb qualifies as a weapon of mass destruction, but Saddam Hussein's mustard gas didn't???
