Facebook turns on Palin

Former Alaska GOP Gov. Sarah Palin's endorsement of Carly Fiorina in California's Senate race has prompted a fervent blowback on her Facebook page, long Palin's safe haven for delivering her message.

The revolt is coming from Palin supporters who also back Chuck DeVore – a tea party favorite who is campaigning against Fiorina in the Republican primary.

Palin’s Facebook page is littered with comments opposing her endorsement of Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett Packard.

“The only REAL CONSERVATIVE is Chuck DeVore. Fiorina is a RINO and we don't need any more of those in [California],” one irate commenter wrote. “Why wouldn't you back Chuck DeVore???”

“Sorry Sarah but I think Chuck DeVore is the conservative candidate you should be supporting,” added another, who was followed up by a DeVore supporter who wrote: “I don't agree with this endorsement AT ALL! What are you thinking Sarah?”

Thanks for the info. I don't know much about this race.

I know I don't like Fiorina, but I don't like Scott Brown, either -- I just like him a heckuva lot better than Ted Kennedy. He's a squishy, moderate GOP place-holder.... but maybe the best we're likely to get from Massachusetts. Perhaps Governor Palin feels the same way about California.

You are correct. Boxer is beating Campbell by two points but she is beating Devore by 3 points and Fiorina by 4 points.

"Boxer led Fiorina by six points in March and by four points in February. The incumbent held a nine-point lead in November, but her support against Fiorina has never exceeded 46%. Boxer has previously polled up to 47% against DeVore since November."

The poll also shows very little difference between Devore and Fiorina against Boxer. Why doesn't Palin support the Conservative in the race?

Are you saying that Campbell will caucus with the Dems rather than with the Reps? Do you have a source for that assertion?

It really is funny, but Palin is doing what she can to stop a liberal republican from being the republican nominee, and some “so-called” conservatives here want to attack her for being a RINO or supporting a RINO.

As opposed to endorsing Fiorina, who polls worse against Boxer than DeVore ? Yeah, that makes sense.

It is beyond sickening to watch people on our side defend her at all costs! This is no different than the Obamabots!

BINGO!

Carly Fiorina has been endorsed by the National Right to Life, the California Pro-Life Council, and the Susan B. Anthony List.

She is pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, pro-military, and pro-strict border security and against amnesty.

She is against Obamacare and will vote to repeal it and prevent the government takeover of private companies and industries.

Carly is also a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. , She is a member of the NRA, has a 100% NRA rating, and she and her husband are gun owners.

She is pro-energy development and believes as I do in an all-of-the-above approach to energy independence.

She is against cap and tax. And most importantly, Carly is the only conservative in the race who can beat Barbara Boxer

The Palin and Fiorina bashers are not Conservatives to start with.

Mercy, you’ve got to love all these folks here that want a winner so bad. I and many others don’t want a winner dang it! We want change! All of these so called winners that some of you want us to vote for (ah, different party) will bring the same crap that we have - so why vote for them?

Way too many of you think - who can win (according to the media polls). Why should anyone of us vote if we are going to follow polls? The whole process has been destroyed.

Politics has become a game without any statesmen. We have little or no chance of ever changing anything! And much of the blame belongs to us - the voter!

I don’t vote in CA. I am trying to figure out why Palin is supporting a RINO like Fiorina when Devore polls better against Boxer. And Campbell polls the best against Boxer. If the criterion is winning and electability, then logically Palin should be supporting Campbell since ideology is not important for her.

Logic is not your strong suit.

This is a primary election, not the general election. What matters is how Devore polls against Campbell, and that he barely does at all, Devore at best, is hitting 14%, he is out of the race.

Campbell and Fiorina have about a 2 point difference against Boxer, big deal.

Logically Palin should be supporting Carley Fiorina over the radically leftist, Tom Campbell.

You don't seem to have a lot of knowledge about the race, but that doesn't stop you from making all sorts of assertions yourself: "I agree completely. DeVore is the only real conservative in the race. Palin has made another major mistake in judgment. Jim DeMint endorsed Devore. Michele Malkin, Mark Levin, Tom McClintock, Huckabee, Rohrabacher, and Jeff Flake endorsed Devore."

Perhaps you should study this race some more before making quick judgements?

Well, thats what all the Ahhhnoldbots said on here when they had a choice between the current gov and Tom McClintock. How is that working out for you? Now, the rank and file voter who pays little attention is putting just as much, if not more, of the blame for California’s problems on the Republican party because of the gutless fraud that is the REPUBLICAN governor. In a place like Cali, where even the Republicans are socialists, the only thing that you have to gain by supporting RINOs is getting painted with the broad brush that Democrats should be painted with. Oh yeah, that and total bankruptcy. Good luck with that...JFK

WHY is he not electable ?
- - - - - - -
There’s only one reason I can see. No money. He is a maverick and does not have a lot of CA Republican support. By that I mean that he decides issues based on his conservative values which often don’t coincide with what the CA Republican Party wants. So without access to the party fund raisers and with no money to buy TV....

What he has done is work hard with Tea Party groups across the state, giving over 300 presentations to Tea Party meetings. I’m guessing the total as he was well over 200 when I heard him a couple months ago. No skeletons in his closet that I’ve heard, married man, Lt Col in the Army reserve.

What you have here are males who don’t like strong women and use every other angle to attack rather than their real
obsession.

Bitchy gals who are jealous Of Sarah’s looks.

And the assorted Liberal Trolls
____________________________________________________________________________________________

So anybody who disagrees with Palin is now a “troll” or “jealous”, or don’t like a “strong woman.”

Hmmm, so how’s your logic any different from the logic used by the Dems in labeling conservatives as racists because we disagree with Obama’s policies?

You sound just like a liberal in your reasoning here. There’s a reason Palin’s catching flack!
