LOL. I have a hard time watching the movie now because I know it's coming.

It was upsetting. Good guys (loyal dogs included) just shouldn’t get killed.

It always bothered me in “Road Warrior” when Max’s dog got killed...

Although I can’t recall the title of an old WWII movie, but the “dogfaces”
of a US Army group adopted a stray dog, despite instructions to
not do such a thing.

When the unit was moving on via truck, the soldiers were told to leave
the dog behind (likely to starve in the bomb-shattered countryside).
The poor dog tried to keep up with the trucks, until one soldier
killed it with a shot from his M-1.

VERY disturbing; fortunately I saw this when I was a teen.
If I’d been younger, my folks probably would be on the hook for
a lot of visits to the shrink.
