Hippocrit -— fat, useless, RINOs prone to hypocritical statements.

Works.

They aren’t called RINOs because they vote with us.

As long as they vote for the GOP when organizing each House of Congress, that's the main thing. Look at all of the damage Reid and Pelosi have done.

"DeMint-Bachmann 2012"

DeMint is at the top of my list of potential candidates to back. Along with Mike Pence, he is doing a good job of nudging the GOP to the right.

......but I think as a pragmatic matter we've got to nominate Republicans who can get elected in their states."

Alot of good that has gotten us in the past. Cornyn and the others just want power for power's sake. DeMint wants to do good with it. Cornyn can go to H-E-DoubleHockeySticks.

There is no sense in building numbers if those numbers cannot be trusted or are RINO’s.

DeMint is great — the only choice for our next President, IMHO. As a good paleo, I have my doubts about Palin. She’s been wearing Eau de McCain a little too often.

In other cases, DeMint's silence has been telling. He pointedly refused to aid once-popular Republican Bob Bennett, a three-term senator who was defeated Saturday by conservative voters in Utah's GOP convention. After Bennett's loss, DeMint immediately endorsed Mike Lee, one of the two Republicans in a runoff.

Smart move.

they are worse, because the things they vote for get blamed on Republicans.

Many if not most of the things that Republicans get blamed for during the bush years were actually things that RINO’s pushed through and supported over conservative objections.

But democrats don't remember that, they have selective memory about these sort of things, and blame our recent interest in fiscal conservatism on racism ect, saying that why didn't we have any of these concerns when the Republicans were in power. Completely forgetting that we DID have these concerns then but the RINO’s teamed up with the democrats to push through the extreme spending over conservative objections.

hm... he MIGHT have what it takes, I would need to see video of him to be sure, but just looking at still pictures ... it’s possible.

"If that were possible and we were able to win elections all around the country I would be all for it, but I think as a pragmatic matter we've got to nominate Republicans who can get elected in their states." "

This numbskull RNC leader's (Cornyn) choices are Arlen Specter and Charlie Crist. Maybe this is one of the main problems with the RNC???

The RINO’s have proven themselves amenable to abandoning principle to compromise with the left; as soon as they recognize the advantage of doing the same with the Tea Party, they’ll be on board.

When will these “centrists” learn? It is not the party, but is the message. They could be from the MOON party as long as they have the right principles.

I’ve come to the conclusion that Huck was far superior to the other two boobs left standing, so Hunter made the right choice. Though no choice was better still. Unlike DeMint, who shot out of the gate for Mitt at the beginning, and unlike your faux conservative stalking Horse who was McCain’s 2000 campaign chairman, Hunter endorsed HIMSELF first and foremost by running for POTUS.

I believe strongly in meritocracy.

Rewarding simple time in office is a leftist/union institution. It has no legitimate place in conservative leadership.

Promote the most capable and most conservative among us. Length of time in office is a small piece of the puzzle.

I think he has a different goal, which is to try to move the Republican conference in a more conservative direction. If that were possible and we were able to win elections all around the country I would be all for it, but I think as a pragmatic matter we've got to nominate Republicans who can get elected in their states

Cornyn has it exactly backwards. We SHOULD try to move the Republican party toward conservatism - and govern that way - because if we do, we will be able to win elections all over the country. Being pragmatists - especially when the dems never are - is what costs Republicans during elections each and every time. Run like a Conservative Govern like a Conservative Get re-elected - because you're a Conservative.
