She looks so stupid in that pose. This reminded me of the sleazy lap dance Miley Cyrus did with some old guy at a party.

“Why are all the hot and intelligent ones taken ?”

Kagan’s availble! ;)

My favorite episodes were the ones where Kevin had the hot-as-the-sun Madeline (Julie Condra) after him like a wolf on a roast. And little goofy Kevin tells her to get lost and waits for goonie Winnie to take him back. Nerd.

What a great show! I confess the last episode had me weeping at the end (Kevin announcing Jack Arnold’s death). Kevin not ending up with Winnie wasn’t much a surprise, she always treated him like day old baked goods. And that’s another thing, they could have coaxed one more good season out of the show, it would have been great to see the three main characters graduate from HS. OTOH, unlike most shows, The Wonder Years went out on a high note (never jumped the shark) so that’s a positive.

I saw an article, ages ago, with some miserable lefty complaining about how the show should’ve basically been about nothing but evil America, corporatism, social injustice, etc.

I remember when us righties were complaining about the lefty slant of the show, especially the episode where Kevin & Winnie try to stop the bulldozers from turning their park into a strip mall. That said, I liked the show as it reminded me of my upbringing. I figured out that Kevin would have been 1 year older than me. I had the older sisters, the mom who was always dressed properly and kept the house immaculate, and the hard-working dad (who was nicer than Kevin's). And yes, I had my Winnie too.

I haven’t seen the Wonder Years since it originally aired when I was a kid. The dad scared me. ;d

The square dancing episode must have rang true for you.

I’m glad they didn’t do that anymore by the time I got to gym class.

The dad - really? I wish I had a dad like Jack Arnold. I cried like a baby when Kevin said he died two years later.

The square dancing - yes! IIRC, those episodes were shown my Senior year, and laughed our asses off!

If you had hot chicks in gym class the dancing was fun. When you have to choose between dancing with a guy or the Swamp Thing, not so much. :)

Well I was just a little kid so any good parenting he did was lost on me. All I remember is his mad voice. ;)
