I went to the safe to look for any of 3 air riles I used to have in there. 2 Daisy Powerlines and a Benjamin. Got a crow problem. All are missing. Apparently Clint Jr had them all out a couple summers ago with friends and never brought them back. Except one Daisy I won at a Quail Unlimited raffle they were junk anyway.
So what’s a father to do? Go Gamo! I’ll get it next week in the mail.

My question as well. Well-versed FReepers can give us substantial tech talk and that is good; but the goal is to achieve the best knock-down capability from a center mass body hit with the best CCW features.
This is how I plan to answer the question: Put a 2x6x6” in a 12” hole in the ground (7-10 yards) and hit it with my Colt Commander 9mm. Compare that with a hit on a new board with 1) my full size SA 1911 .45 (6-4, 220lbs but its still to big for CCW) and 2) a borrowed .40 cal. (probably the new Taurus Slim).
Will appreciate any predictions from FReepers.
Mylife: you raise an excellent point about over penetration (dare I wonder whether most CCWs’ will check the background in a moment of stress, I have often considered the wisdom of dropping to my knees in a crowed environment but that seems pretty dumb?). Are you aware of any <1” wide .45’s?
