Washington, DC--Concealed handgun permit holders have killed at least nine law enforcement officers in addition to 152 private citizens (including 15 shooters who killed themselves after an attack) since May 2007 according to the latest update of Concealed Carry Killers, a Violence Policy Center (VPC) on-line resource that tallies news reports of such killings.

I just love how it's just a given that in any confrontation between LEO's and the rest of us, that the LEO's must have been right.

Circumstances: On February 21, 2010, 30-year-old Lashawn Davis was allegedly shot and killed by Vincent Williams, 31, outside an E-Z Mart convenience store in Jefferson County. Several witnesses told police that the two men had shot one another. According to a police report, Davis was found lumped in the driver’s seat of a 1999 gold Mercury Grand Marquis with his feet hanging out of the car and his body facing south. A .45 handgun was found nearby. Police found Williams on the south side of the store, bleeding, with a 9mm handgun nearby. Both men were transported to a local hospital where Davis was pronounced dead and Williams was taken into surgery. Williams reportedly told police that Davis had tried to steal his car. Williams had a concealed handgun permit.

Two things of interest here:

1. A good shooting is considered "bad" by this group; I bet a significant percentage of these shootings they count are the same.

2. Note the guy shot with the 45 lived, and the guy shot by the 9mm died...:) Now, I don't want to start a caliber war, but...

And how do you know the other 9 didn't? I'd give them a LITTLE benefit of the doubt for being LEO's, but no more than I'd give a plumber, or a fireman, or a barber. IOW anybody that has a job, including a LE job, gets more benefit of the doubt than a gang banger.

I'm a 45 fan too, but you got that backwards, unless they each shot themselves. Davis was the carjacker, found in the car with a 45, who later died. Williams was the owner, found near the 9, who survived.

How many of those officers were committing crimes under the color of law?

No, I meant the person who was hit with the 45 ACP bullet lived (he was found near the 9mm pistol), the person hit with the 9mm bullet died (he was found near the 45 ACP pistol). The 45 ACP didn’t kill. The 9mm did kill.

Crap! I wasn't aware of that one. I think that may be even worse than "imputing", where they assume some accidents were alcohol related in the absence of any evidence, just because no one was tested. They could have been, so we'll count them as if they were.

Also, of those CCW holders who shot LE officers, how many were responding to wrong addee/bad info no-knock warrants in their homes at O-dark thirty?

Most likely this story is a fabrication.

Just like,

It is term that repulses many: What terms would they use? Black person murders black person or should we just announce a murder was committed and not refer to any ethnic or gender facts. No matter what; it is a sad state when we try and pay for everything to keep the young going straight. However, until the family is somehow brought back to the forefront of this generation and thereafter we are only chasing our tails.
