They don’t know Kentucky and they also don’t know what people desire. I find Rand Paul refreshing. He says what so many of us have want to hear for a long time. He talks about really cutting government, he talks about a restrained government and the sovereign citizen. Poll after poll has shown a majority supports cutting government and spending yet our politicians continue to operate under the status quo as if it is crazy to suggest cutting government let alone really getting rid of a government agency. There is no reason why most of the federal government can not either be privatized, non-profitized, and localized to the state level. The only reason not to do it is centralized power and I think we see how well that has went. If the federal government did not have the right to raise taxes and had to get its funds from the states to operate then we’d never have a risk of the kind of federal debt we have today. States would be stronger and there would be no such thing as earmarks because money wouldn’t be flowing to Washington and back. Those who have bad inefficient local government would suffer alone for it.

We need to change our system to make sure the wisdom of our founders is re-established and protects us forever against the threat of centralized socialist government.
