“Very similar to what they are tyring to do to DeVore.”

Different circumstances. The first was a “special election,” to fill the remainder of Davis’ term, with all-comers.

The current race is a primary, then a general.

I take it you think regulatory powers in the Federal government citing the commerce clause are a good thing?

Depends on what it is. But "Roosevelt's" FDA and USDA is a far cry from the crap we have today. Did you know "conservative" Taft did more trust busting in his 4 years than Roosevelt did in 8? I didn't think so.

Did you know the USDA was created by Abraham Lincoln and was elevated to Cabinet status 12 years before Roosevelt was President. I thought not.

Did you know the FDA as we know it is nothing like the simple law called the Food and Drug Act singed into law by Roosevelt that gave the EXISTING USDA's chemistry bureau power to prevent fictitious branding of foodand medicines. I thought not.

If he’d beaten Arnold, he’d be relegated to the dustbin of history about now, because this California situation is unfixable....his star may still be rising, as it is.

It is a testament to the political idiocy of the majority of Californians for bypassing this man in favor of the RINO Governator.

California ( especially Los Angeles ) deserves everything she gets — including going bankrupt.

Out here in California we are trying to turn a battleship; I firmly believe that we can’t do that with a REAL republican. McClintock had now put himself in the crosshairs of the liberals and on the promotion list of the conservatives.

I believe that Whitman is electable on a state-wide basis, but not McClintock. Color me cynical.

Well, hey. If 2 million of our tax dollars are being spent to campaign for abortion-on-demand and Islamic courts in Kenya.... why shouldn’t the Mexican president push his dirty hind end into our business?

The one-world government is just around the bend. Iran will be telling us how to treat women, Chavez will be telling us how to have freedom of the press, Zelaya will tell us how to have elections, Chairman Mao will be teaching us all philosophy (and be adored on our Christmas trees), etc.

And Mexico will be telling us how to enforce our laws. (cough)

Gosh, I've even got you answering your own questions. I didn't have you for a fruitcake, but maybe I should reconsider.

Did you know the USDA was created by Abraham Lincoln and was elevated to Cabinet status 12 years before Roosevelt was President. I thought not.

That I didn't recall, but I should have because of the history of the illegal creation of the National Forests (slipped into a bill in a conference committee). My thesis about unconstitutional powers still holds; you haven't written a thing to even address its constitutionality. It's about corporate collectivism, the real purpose for the 14th Amendment.

Did you know the FDA as we know it is nothing like the simple law called the Food and Drug Act singed into law by Roosevelt that gave the EXISTING USDA's chemistry bureau power to prevent fictitious branding of foodand medicines. I thought not.

Actually, I did know that. It's still unconstitutional.

You still haven't dealt with the thesis that Roosevelt's progressivism was a Trojan horse for the regulatory government we have today. Please find me an enumerated power that says the Federal government can regulate private businesses. BTW, if you think it's in the Commerce Clause you flunk.

You are more American than most native born Americans. Your children will be wonderful, patriotic adults. I still say yes man and yes sir, often even when I am older than they are. My kids say it as well. They always say please, thank you, and never go to bed in our home or a guests home without saying good night. They have never been in trouble, never done drugs, they are good kids. Teaching your children respect and manners is so important.

You are so scattered, I can't follow what you're getting at.

What does Roosevelt have to do with the 14th Amendment? Nothing.

And which of my own questions was I answering?

And how does this sound like collectivism?

"We have not the slightest sympathy with that socialistic idea which would try to put laziness, thriftlessness and inefficiency on a par with industry, thrift and efficiency; which would strive to break up not merely private property, but what is far more important, the home, the chief prop upon which our whole civilization stands. Such a theory, if ever adopted, would mean the ruin of the entire country--a ruin which would bear heaviest upon the weakest, upon those least able to shift for themselves.

or...

Probably the greatest harm done by vast wealth is the harm that we of moderate means do ourselves when we let the vices of envy and hatred enter deep into our own natures.

TR was a Progressive down to his toes. A Big Government Liberal. FDR was just following TR’s example in growing government. Just because he got ONE thing right does not excuse the monstrous government he grew. I was through with him LONG before Beck ever came on the scene.

What upsets me so is the laws that Mexico has againt foreigners coming in. They are draconian compared to us. But he has the nerve to knock what we do.

Why is the MSM not reporting what happens to someone who is caught in Mexico without papers as an illegal alien?

is there no MSM who are willing to stand up anymore for US?
