It was a good move on her part, and she is absolutely right to be suspicious. California had passed a proposition to limit or eliminate benefits to illegals. A Federal judge overturned it, then a Democrat became Attorney General and no appeal was pursued.

Believe me, I know the whole story of 187. The day those criminals emerged from the 9th Circuit Arbitration Panel, I knew that Democracy had died in California.

Blame it on Gray Davis who was the Dem Gov. back then...Yes, AG Bill Lockyer was also a Dem...But, Davis made the decision not to pursue the appeal.
