The purdue guy was wrong about everything he said.

The fitting in question is a vent. Four inch by my estimate. It is open now to let the frozen gas hydrates out to prevent blockage. The lines are hooked up and in place. It takes hours to get the pumps primed and flow rates adjusted. They don’t want to blow up another rig and they must proceed carefully with all that natural gas.

This may not work because of the high percentge of gas freezing the sea water and plugging the inlet.

I’m not naive enough to think wildlife wouldn’t die. But I can’t help but believe if Obama had given the ok to Jindal weeks ago, the loss might not be as much.

Not exactly my area of expertise and I could very well be wrong, but the cap looks more like a 'dispersant applicator device' than a collection device. I don't think they have a snowball's chance in hades of 'capping' that well at that depth with those ROV's and I do not think they do either. What pump has a suction strong enough to pull from that depth to the surface? Or a suction line that will not collapse under that much vacuum?

Unless they get an absolute seal, I doubt the well has enough pressure to force the oil all the way (a mile) to the surface..

I think they're shooting for maximum dispersal to keep the oil from getting to the surface.. out of sight, and out of mind..

Funnly little thing about oil, it floats. No need for suction. :) No need for wellhead pressure, either. The oil will rise regardless.

Simple science is your friend.

Cute little conspiracy theory, though. ;)

Click my name for a few more Mobama pics. I’m surprised the MSM let out so many horrendous pics of her.

I have taken your warning to heart. Good heavens, I thought I had invoked the nuclear option with the Helen Thomas picture. I can see that you, sir, are like Vishnu..... "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."

Please erase that picture from your hard drive, though I can't erase it from my mind's eye.
