Apparently this is the method BP wanted to try first, weeks ago, and the Obama Administration micromanaged their way into forcing them to exhaust other options instead. “Never let a good crisis go to waste,” right? Now the long drug-out disaster is being blamed as a reason to shut down oil exploration and drilling in favor of “safer” green technology. Do it for the children. And baby seals.

If U.S. officials had followed up on a 1994 response plan for a major Gulf oil spill, it is possible that the spill could have been kept under control and far from land. http://blog.al.com/live/2010/05/fire_boom_oil_spill_raines.html

Obama says that he was in charge since day one, so why hasnt Obama done this?

They won’t let this crisis go to waste. They will use it to work stridently to end our pesky “freedom of transportation”. You will ride a bus or train someday - or walk to work in their planned urban beehive.
